One page loose -- the illustration 'Poor Pen' between pages 68 and 69. Hinge cracked at chapter 1. Three quarter leather and marbled boards. Highly decorative spine with raised bands and gilt lettering. End papers brown and in great shape. Volume II has no loose pages. Original cloth page markers present in both although quite thin and worn. Page marker in Volume II is only partly there but still attached. Corners, covers and spine bumped, rubbed and shelf worn. Foxing and yellowing on interior. Binding intact and holding. A nice looking set.. First Edition. Three-Quarter Leather. Very Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Illustrations on Steel and Wood By the Author. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
