Saint Paul, Mn: Northwestern Photo Co, 1880. 1st. Hardcover. Very Good. Quarto. The rare album of photogravures by George W. James and Anson P. Bateman, the proprietors of Northwestern Photo Company published during the 1880's. The photos are of local subjects that include grand houses, churches, street scenes, landscapes and waterfalls. There are 105 photographs on 60 leaves, plus a half-title, title page and eleven pages of text. The book is complete with original end papers. The book was originally bound in half leather with cloth boards. The spine has been restored with cloth and the corners are unrestored and worn. The titling on the front cover is still bright.
