Paris: F. Contet. VG. 1920. 1st Edition. Hardcover. A set of seven volumes on old ironwork. Each volume measures 13" x 17" and is bound as string-tied portfolios with green cloth spines and ma rbled paper boards. The portfolios have 40 to 45 unbound, loose plates ,, many with multiple images per plate. Spines on the portfolios have various degrees of wear and tear, most have small frays at the tips, s ome have some small chips, some with some tears along the seams. The m arbled boards have light rubbing to their corners. The ties are presen t but some are frayed. The front covers's versos have plates from a Fr ench Architectural Library and a small name stamp from New York archit ect Bradley Delehanty. The plates are all in Very Good or better condi tion with very mild wear. A fairly rare set with all seven volumes. An ultimate reference to European Ironworks. Text is in French.
