Palma de Mallorca: Divers Press, 1954. 1st Edition . Wrappers. Very Good/Good. Printed French-fold jacket over plain card wrappers, 141 pp. First edition, limited to 500 copies. Inscribed "To Paul with all my best - the first day of school! Bob"; very probably to Paul Saunders, head of the Albuquerque Academy in the early sixties. Creeley taught at the Academy through 1960-61. Slight roll to spine, page edges tanned, rippling to last few leaves. Jacket sunned, worn at edges and folds, stained at spine and along front edges, rippled at rear, chipped at crown and heel, with closed tears at either side of heel, small nick at rear spine fold. Size: 16mo

Lincoln, NE, and Albuquerque, NM: Bent Quoin Press. Limited Edition . Stapled Wraps. Very Good. 24mo. 1953, 1958, 1959. Illustrated paper wrappers, 16, 16, 8 pp. Three very scarce self-published poetry chapbooks (there were five altogether) by the soon-to-be editor of the Wormwood Review. "Cockerel's Crop" limited to 50 copies, with copies 1-12 signed; this copy marked "Review copy, 7/10," but not signed; "Two Over Twice Equals Sixteen" limited to 100, with 1-20 signed; this one marked "Author's copy 6/10," but also unsigned; "Conversation Peece*," 100 copies, with 1-20 signed; this copy no. 3 and signed "M. Malone." This latter also has one correction in ink in the poet's hand. Malone produced "Cockerel" in Lincoln, the other two in Albuquerque. Wrappers of all three just a bit sunned, "Cockerel" wrapper creased at one corner and edgeworn, "Twice Over" lightly bumped at corners.
