Toronto: McClelland and Stewart, 1978. First Edition. Cloth. Fine/Very Good/Near Fine. 8vo. 190 pp. Signed by Van Herk on the title-page. Winner of the Seal $50,000 Canadian First Novel Award and hence the author's first book. Price-clipped dustjacket has mild edgewear, a small closed tear at lower front flap hinge, and some light scuffing which is not unusual given the black dustjacket colour which is easily and usually scuffed. This copy is in particularly nice condition.
