The John Day Company, 1956. 1st US Edition. Hardcover. NF/VG-. 1st American Edition. 14 x 21 cm green cloth with gilt stamped titles to the spine 213(1)pp with black and white illustrations by the author. With original unclipped jacket priced at $3.50 A near fine book clean and bright, without name inscription or bookplate and just the indentation marks from a paper clip on the front free endpaper and half title. The dust jacket which is now protected in a removable, clear cover (not shown) has some fading to the spine, a little dust marking and rubbing to the edges. There is minor loss to the rear joint at the head of the spine and the corners and a few closed tears of under 1cm. All in all a very nice 1st American Edition of a book published in the UK under the title 'It Gives Me Great Pleasure' Rainford & Parris Books welcomes enquiries, so please do not hesitate to ask if you require further images or have any questions.
