Upload formats for beginners...

Return to what I was doing

Biblio.com accepts uploads in nearly any form of text-delimited format. Tab-delimited .txt files are recommended, especially if you are using a spreadsheet such as Excel to manage book data.

The field order is entirely up to you. It just needs to be clear to us what type of data is in each field, so that we can build a custom upload filter to accommodate the format and field order you send. It would be helpful to us if you can supply a list of the fields you are including, in the order they appear in your uploads.

The minimum requirements for uploading are the following fields:

1) Your Book Number - This is sometimes referred to as "SKU", "Dealer ID", or "Dealer Book ID", among other names, but they all mean the same thing. Your ID's can be anything you wish, as long as they remain unique to each book, and are never used again for different listings.

2) Author

3) Title

4) Description

5) Price

Any other fields (such as ISBN, book format, publisher) are optional, but certainly helpful. It is especially useful to include ISBN's with your listings, since more than half of customers search by ISBN.

Let us know if you have any questions about your specific upload format and we'll be happy to provide further information.

I was delighted with my order and your service. The book arrived in time for the occasion that I needed it for. I was thrilled to be able to find an out-of-print copy.
