The BISAC Subject Headings List is a standard used to categorize books based on content. The Subject Heading applied to a book can determine where the book will be shelved in your store or the categories under which it can be searched for in a database. You may use the following link to the Book Industry Study Group site for a standardized list. Or, simply go to any items page in BookHound and click on the "subjects" tab. Look for the link called "what are bisac subjects".
