N.p.: N.p., 1974. Draft script for the 1974 play, here under its working title, "Parto." With a few manuscript ink annotations throughout, mostly by proofreading. Text in English.
Based on the groundbreaking Portuguese feminist work, a compilation of letters, poems, puzzles, and excerpts written by Maria Isabel Barreno, Maria Teresa Horta and Maria Velho da Costa in 1972. The work was banned weeks after its publication in Portugal (and the three women subsequently arrested and jailed for public indecency), but was nevertheless staged in Paris and New York.
Red titled wrappers. Title page present, with credits for playwrights Maria Isabel Barreno and Gilda Grillo. 78 leaves, with last page of text numbered 76. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, bound with two gold brads.
