Beverly Hills, CA: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer [MGM], 1941. Draft script for the 1941 film. Copy belonging to actor Van Heflin, who played Bill King, with his name on the front wrapper, and annotations throughout, in holograph pencil.

Based on Marquand's serialized novel, "Gone Tomorrow." Pulham (Young) is a conservative businessman with a daily routing. His wife Kay (Hussey) is loving but in their passionless relationship has become dull. Pulham is tasked with organizing a school reunion, and his life is told in flashback. His old friend Bill King (Heflin) lands him an advertising job, where he meets the luscious Marvin (Lamarr), who is not enthused with domesticity.

Set in Boston.

Light blue titled wrappers, rubber-stamped as TEMPORARY COMPLETE and RERUN JUL 7 1941 on the front wrapper, copy No. 111, dated 4/25/41, with credits for screenwriters Hill and Vidor. 177 leaves, with last page of text numbered "171-175." Mimeograph duplication, with revision pages throughout, dated variously between 5/19/41 and 7/31/41. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, bound with two gold brads.

With provenance stamps on the verso, along with a stamp noting No. 81-422. From the archive of film historian and author Joel Finler. Based on John P. Marquand's 1941 novel. A married businessman locked in a monotonous life recalls his passionate relationship with a beautiful, independent young woman twenty years prior. Lamarr's second film with Vidor, following "Comrade X" in 1940. Set in Boston. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus, with light soil to the top edge.
