[Toronto]: Biting Dog Press, 2012. First Edition. Broadside. Fine. Two broadsides, each roughly 11 by 15 inches. Printed letterpress in two colors with blind debossing. Making a Chair, a poem about writer's procrastination, was published in an edition of 300 copies for Gaiman's 2011 holiday greeting, with 150 for sale. The Rhyme Maiden was issued in an edition of 300 copies; the poem is about the day before Gaiman and Amanda Palmer were married.
OCLC locates three copies of The Rhyme Maidens, all in Toronto, and no copies of Making a Chair. Both broadsides are fine and signed by Gaiman. The Rhyme Maidens is also signed by George Walker, who carved the wood engraving illustration. The broadsides are laid into a black faux leather folding portfolio and slipcase. This slipcase was used for the deluxe "folio" edition of The Rhyme Maidens. One corner of the slipcase has a significant bump, so perhaps it was repurposed to house the two Gaiman broadsides issued by Biting Dog Press.
