La Manivelle: The Old Tune; pièce radiophonique by Pinget, Robert, texte anglais de Samuel Beckett - 1960

Paris: Les Éditions de Minuit, 1960. Pamphlet. 62p., bilingual texts in French & English on facing pages, very good first edition paperback original in cream wraps titled in blue and black. The original and Beckett's translation which transposes Pinget's Parisian organ grinder to the streets of Dublin with appropriate references and dialect. Both meant to be performed on the radio but the Beckett especially became a staple on small stages throughout the 1960s.
