Double Elephant Folio sized broadside featuring 3 different maps: 1) "Mirror of the City of Sebastopol: authentic view showing the exact positions of all the fortifications with correct name and number of guns in each, and giving a full description of the CITY; its Public Buildings, [and its] Harbors". 2) Map of Crimea "showing the military position of the Allied Forces surrounding SEBASTOPOL". 3) Map of the Black Sea, "containing distances from CONSTATINOPLE, and Statistical Information relative to the Population of Europe and its principal cities". Includes index to points of interest, text, and population data. Also includes lengthy excerpt: "Sebastopol" "from Mr. Scott's book on the Crimea". Condition: Fair only. Significant chipping with loss to the bottom edge of the sheet, loss impinges upon text, index and a single map. Otherwise showing smaller chips, creases and nicks primarily to edges. A brilliant data rich bravura presentation with nice color. Scarce. Worldcat shows 3 institutional holdings only: Yale, The Library of Congress, and The Filson Historical Society, though single maps published individually show up in 2 or 3 other places.
