About This Item
The prolific British character actor often played comic roles for nearly half a century, and is often remembered as Dick Van Dyke's father in "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" (1968); he also directed and wrote screenplays. TNS, 1p, 8¼" X 11", Iver Heath, England, 13 June 1972. Addressed to Richard C. Laade. On "Hemisphere Productions" letterhead, Jeffries replies cordially to an admirer and transits his autograph. Large, bold signature in black fineline. Original envelope present. Comes with an unsigned 10" X 8" glossy photograph, a fine scene from the 1961 British adventure film "The Hellions" showing Jeffries horseback in cowboy attire.
