27 x 21 cm. 10 lines. Autograph letter written and signed by the (later) Sultan Abdulhamid II in French , dated January 1865 in Bechik Tach (Besiktas - Istanbul) to the counsel in the Imperial court of Pau (France) and the author Gustave de Lagreze. In an envelope with melted seal contains the name of (Abdul Hamid) and some stamps. Together with the French translation of the Imperial order of the Sultan Abdul Mejid (Father of Abdul Hamid) to Lagreze , sent from the Sublime Port in Istanbul to hem , with the Majidi Nishan . An other example of a French autograph by Abdul Hamid takes place in Omer Koc collection in Istanbul . (See the images)

Gustave Bascle Lagreze is a French historian and diplomat born in 23 Agust 1811 in Pau France and died in 11 November 1891

First and only Greek edition of this rare medical book printed in Paris, on physiology by Mavrogenis who was one of the most influential professors of medicine at the Constantinople Medical School where he taught the course in internal medicine.
