Volume one: xvi, 430 pages. Volume two : xvi, 488 pages. Illustrated with numerous full page engraved plates plus smaller illustrations, including maps, diagrams, drawings and also from photographs. The volumes measure 5.5 X 7.5 inches. The leather shoulders on the front boards are stamped "Vancroft Farm" in gilt. and the original owner's name stamp appears across the top of the fly leaves, and also again across a page within both books.There are a few scuffs and rubbing here and there to the leather, and at the corners. Corners bumped. Very good, and very clean throughout, with a very sound and solid bindings. . Second Edition. Half-Leather. Very Good/No Jacket.
