A yearbook commemorating the 200th anniversary of Hummelstown, PA's founding; contains town history and photographs, plus information on municipal organizations, churches, schools, and businesses (with contemporary ads). Endpapers are slightly yellowed at extremities but depict a b/w aerial photograph of the Hummelstown town limits c.1962. Text block is clean and sound; secure in bindings. Boards have very minor surface wear; visible ding on rear board; shallow open tear off tail end of spine; light soiling on inner board extremities. Overall Near Fine.

Berkeley: Oyez, 1966. First edition. Black pictorial boards stamped in silver; large 8vo. One of 200 copies in hardcover (of 2000 total). Very good, two leaves creased in a lightly edge worn and rubbed very good dust jacket. (In removable protective archival covers.).

Berkeley: Oyez, 1966. First edition. One of 170 copies of the hardcover issue (of 200 total). Inscribed by Duncan "in the month of publication" to Alan [Covici]. Publisher's prospectus laid in. Included is a typed (Tls) 2pp. letter addressed to Covici in Duncan's hand discussing little magazines to buy in a bookshop catalog and a holograph note by Duncan. Also, three small broadsides (the same) from circa 1988, after the poet's death, laid in. Near fine in a near fine dust jacket, with light wear to top edge. Letter folded but like the envelope fine.(In removable protective archival covers.). Covici was a rare book librarian at UC, a collector of and friend of Duncan. Books from his collection often have extensive notes by Duncan regading the somewhat complicated bibliography of RD.

Sensational catalogue of a major Yeats exhibition at the Grolier in 2000. One of 250 numbered copies designed by Jerry Kelly, printed at the Stinehour Press, and signed by the curator/author Milton McC.Gatch.  Modeled on a Cuala publication; the artistry and portraits of the father John B. and his children, William B., Jack B., Susan (Lily) and Elizabeth (Lolly). Very fine in added removable protective mylar covers.

New York: Little Brown & Co, 2012. First Edition. Decorated wrappers; small 8vo. 226 pp. Advance Reading Copy from uncorrected proofs of the author's first novel. Signed by the author. The cover difffering from the final dust jacket art. The book would go on to win the PEN/Hemingway Award, the Guardian First Book Award, and was a National Book Award Finalist. A very near fine copy with trace wear to the edges. Scarce signed.

Cambridge: Temple Bar Bookshop, 1974. First edition thus. Original wraps. First trade edition limited to 750 copies in wrappers and 50 in cloth (there was photocopied issue limited to 26 copies published earlier). Limitation card laid in. Signed, though not called for, by the poet on the title page. 59 poems that had not previously been published in his books, "that deserved more than the pauper's ditch of a bottom drawer". Printed on yellow paper with the book section of the Boston yellow pages (with such late great stores as Goodspeed's, Hathaway House, and Reading International listed) for covers. A virtually as new copy. Quite uncommon in this condition, especially signed. Limitation card laid in. Hagstrom & Bixby A25b2. Fine in Wraps (in removable protective mylar covers).

New York: Harper & Brothers, 1944. First Edition. Black cloth in dust jacket; 4to. A lengthy inscription on the front fly by Parker and signed by him to art critic Harold Rosenberg. Drawings by Tchelitchew through out from his preliminary sketches for his HIDE AND SEEK which is at MoMA. Poem by Parker on facing pages. Black cloth worn, much of the white embossed titling worn away. Printed by the Golden Hind Press. The very scarce dust jacket has some loss at edges, and signs of minor dampstain. Overall a not quite very good copy, but quite scarce signed, better than most and quite presentable. (In removable mylar covers.).

London: Bell and Sons, 1928. First English Language Edition. Large octavo (25cm). Green cloth boards (hardcover), lettered in gilt on spine; 308pp; illus. Mild external soil and wear; internally clean and unmarked; Very Good. Pioneering technical treatise on yacht design and racing technique, authored by the legendary German yachtsman and inventor. Curry, the most successful German racer of all time, is credited with several innovations which are now standard elements of racing-yacht design, including the fully battened mainsail, the Genoa jib, and the cam cleat [ref. article on Curry at http://www.sailingworld.com).

Mildly rubbed at extremities, with some fading and flaking to cloth at crown of spine; 20th-c. private ownership stamp to endpapers and a few page margins; overall a tight, Good or better copy. Given Worthington's history of piracies, this is likely an unauthorized American printing from the third British edition. Of a higher quality than many of Worthington's titles, however, and a not unattractive copy.

Slim quarto (27cm); b/w pictorial paper wrappers; 82pp. Wrappers show minor handling wear and toning, with rubbing and creasing about the spine. Interiors clean and tight; a Very Good+ copy. Published as a supplement of The Yakima Herald-Republic, this magazine (released April 25, 2010) commemorated the 125th anniversary of the Washington city's founding. Contains historical articles about prominent Yakima businesses, locales, organizations, people and families, the Yakima Nation and more, with plenty of photo-illustrations throughout. Also chockablock with civic pride in the form of advertisements for local businesses.

Ibadan: Sketch Publishing Company, 1970. First Edition. Quarto. Glossy wrappers; 64pp; illus. Corners rolled; mild toning to text; occasional creasing to contents; about Very Good. State-sponsored paean to Yakubu Gowon, head of Nigeria's military government from 1966 to 1974, and the key figure in Nigeria's three-year civil war to prevent the seccession of the Eastern Region (known briefly as Biafra). Photographic illustrations (halftones). Gowon came to power in a military coup but was deposed in 1974 after refusing to accede to a general election. An uncommon relic of the Biafran conflict, issued as a supplement to the government-owned Nigerian newspaper The Daily Sketch.

Small octavo; blue cloth gilt; xii,192pp. Titling just a shade dulled on spine, else a tight, clean, Near Fine copy, lacking the dustwrapper. First book publication of Sinclair Lewis [as "H.S. Lewis"], following numerous magazine appearances. Edited (and with a contribution by) Robert Moses, who graduated Yale in 1909 and went on to become a hugely influential figure in New York City urban planning.
