Pasadena, CA: X-Ray Book Co, 2003. First Edition. Fine. The ninth and penultimate issue of this literary series, each issued in a different format. This issue includes a number of printed broadsides in a cardboard box with a bellyband. It also includes a 45 record of shortwave broadcasts collected by Mike Powell. Contributors include Charles Bukowski, Thurston Moore, Dan Fante, Billy Childish, Michael Montfort, Bern Porter, A. D. Winans, and others. One of 100 numbered copies (there were also 26 lettered copies). A fine copy, still sealed in the original plastic bag it shipped in. Entirely unopened.

This issue includes a small-format chapbook and many small broadsides and single-sheet illustrations. The printed material is housed in a stiff paper box with a piece of wood as a spacer. Contributors include Charles Bukowski, Billy Childish, Karen Switzer, Lyn Lifshin, and John M. Bennett, among others. One of 100 numbered copies (there were also 26 lettered copies). A fine copy, with the glassine wrapper for the printed contents unopened and in fine condition. In a fine box.

San Francisco: X-Ray Book Company, 1998. First edition. Paperback. The seventh installment of this literary journal combining found objects, broadsides, and tipped-in materials. Some contributors made 226 copies of their work (the entire print run); others sent things in to the editor who printed them (letterpress for broadsides). The contents were velobound with acetate wrappers. The covers are three-piece assemblies, each featuring a letter. The contributors to this issue include Charles Bukowski, Billy Childish, Hubert Selby Jr., Bern Porter, and many others. The Bukowski contribution is a printed broadside poem titled "The Word." There is also a laid in original color photograph by Michael Montfort (4-7/8 by 3-1/2 inches) of Bukowski standing in his doorway. This issue includes two loose pieces, a photocopied "thanks for parking so close" flier and a sheet with instructions beginning, "Remove shape card...."
