Sussex, England: Sotheby's, June 25-28, 1990. Softcover. Very Good. Auction of June 25-28, 1990, 131 pages. Some color photos, mostly b/w. There are a few pages with extensive ink markings, mostly circling of lot numbers and prices in margins. This catalogue begins with weapons (including British, Irish, Scottish, and Intercontinental items), followed by several WWII military vehicles. The next auction concerned primarily textiles ( rugs and carpets from Sweden, Europe, prayer rugs, British Arts & Crafts - quite a variety), followed Maps, Antiquarian and Modern Prints. The following auction was for Antiquarian and Modern Books and Original Illustrations, Including Part II of the Ministry of Defence Library, Whitehall. The next (June 28th) was for Applied Arts post 1860 including Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, and James Wyeth--published in conjunction with a major traveling exhibition, running from June 1998 through February 1999, organized by the Delaware Art Museum and Farnsworth Art Museum. Contains 123 color, and 3 b/w illustrations. Foreword by David Michaels, Introduction by Susan C. Larsen, with essays by Stephen T. Bruni, Betsy James Wyeth, Theodore F. Wolff, and Christopher Crosman. 10.25"x 11.25"; 168 pages. Very small remainder mark to bottom edge of text block, reducing the grade from Fine to VG+. The book itself, bound in red cloth and titled in gilt, with deep blue endpapers, is absoulutely Fine with the exception of a very tiny bump at the top edge of the front board.
