Contents foxed, discolored, age toning.Samuel Willard Bridgham (1813-1870), a partner in the New York banking firm of Jacob Little & Co., became Secretary, Director and General Superintendent of the Women's Central Relief Association (WCRA), the New York City branch of the U. S. Sanitary Commission. This is a scrapbook he compiled, containing 28 photographs, 20 printed and manuscript documents, 6 original letters and 3 badges, many relating to the women behind much of the effort. Two items relate to the NY Colored Troops regiments.
