Description:
Washington, DC: U.S. Government Printing Office, 1946. First Edition. Trade paperback. Very good. The final report on the relocation, internment, and incarceration of Japanese immigrants and of Japanese Americans following the Japanese Navy's attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. While the book's chronology begins in January 1942, the chapter called "The Price of Prejudice" notes that the FBI reported on December 11 that more than 1200 Japanese aliens had already been arrested. This report, like many of the post-War publications by the staff of the War Relocation Authority, is critical of the decision to intern the Japanese and is sympathetic to the hardships Japanese and Japanese Americans faced. The book also covers the little-remembered activities of the Farm Security Administration and the Federal Reserve Bank, which was responsible for internees' property. xvi, 212 pages. Illustrated with halftone photographs. First edition (first printing). A very good copy in the original printed wrappers.

Description:
Berkeley: Image Comics, 2007. First Edition. Hardcover. Near fine. The second signed and numbered hardcover Walking Dead graphic novel, limited to just 300 copies. The Walking Dead, running to 194 comic books collected into 32 trade paperback graphic novels, 16 hardcover volumes, and then 8 "omnibus" editions (color versions are also planned), and adapted into two TV series, several novels, and a video game sequence, has taken over popular culture much like the series' zombies have taken over the world. Early on, the publisher offered a small edition of just 300 signed and numbered copies of the hardcover graphic novels, and then stopped offering them after volume 4. These are undoubtedly the scarcest of the Walking Dead graphic novels, which have now been printed in millions of copies. This volume collects twelve issues of the monthly comic book. At the back of each of the hardcover graphic novels is a short sketchbook section showing preliminary drawings with Kirkman's introductory text…
