Illustrated. Small folio. Bound Japanese style in stitched color block-printed wrappers. (Tokyo) Bijutsu-shuppansha N.D. (1957). Text in Japanese with contents leaves in English. With 27 mounted samples of lacquer-patterned papers and 26 mounted block prints in 104 colors, illustrating tools and process. A beautifully produced treatise on "wagami inden," the lacquer-decorated handmade paper, one of a series by Seikichiro-Goto, the foremost authority on Japanese papermaking, illustrated with his own woodblock prints. Seikichiro-Goto is considered to be the Dard Junter of Japan. Enclosed in protective wrapper, with string-tied paper folding case, title applied in lacquer. Very Nice.
