Pittsburgh: University of Pittsburgh Press, 2004. Hardcover. Fine/fine. vii, [3], 422 p.: maps; 24 cm. Black cloth with gilt spine title. Illustrated dust jacket. When the Federal Writers' Project, part of the Works Progress Administration (WPA), was terminated in 1939, The Negro in Pittsburgh had not been completed. The manuscript was held by the Pennsylvania State Library and microfilmed in 1970, but not properly published until this edition. Projects of the Federal Writers' Project included the well-known state and city guides, as well as studies of American ethinic and racial minorities, some of which were published at the time or subsequently, such as The Florida Negro with contributions by Zora Neale Hurston, published in 1993. In Fine/Fine Condition: book and dust jacket are clean and bright.

den Haag: Selecta, 1950. Hardcover. Very Good +. [8] p., 24 leaves of bookmarkers: illustrations; 17 cm. Stiffened card cover with cover title in white on red. Title page in red and black. The 24 leaves each consist of a register in which one would note the title, to whom a book was loaned, and when. The right-hand section of each leaf is perforated so that it can be removed and put in the book being borrowed, with space to note who it was borrowed from and when, below an illustration. A clever idea, which has not been used in this case. In Very Good+ Condition: cover is lightly soiled; internally clean and bright.
