Coates & Co were operating from 1820 until 1951 at various London addresses, the main one being 24 & 25 , Whitehall, E. From research and as far as I can gather? The Poster is in excellent condition and is a List showing prices of Spirits, Cordials and Wines (including Ports and Sherries) "By Imperial Measure and Per Bottle". I'm sure someone could work out the date from the prices - A bottle of Gin listed cost 2 shillings and 9 pence - so perhaps ? Late 19th Century ? When a Pint of Beer cost around 1 shilling. A couple of corner creases and a central fold line from where it had been stored but o/w this has been preserved near as New. It was a 'New' unread book, but a customer knocked it off the shelf bumping the head/tail of the spine and causing a split/tear to the top front inner edge of the spine of the covers/and of the d/j. In dark green boards, with clean, white titling to spine. In the original publisher's pictorial dustjacket which is VG to Near Fine apart from the (now closed) tear to the top front inner edge of spine and a little light creasing. Not price clipped and unread, but there was a printing fault which left the final four - BLANK - endpapers oversized and with the 'oversized' section turned back into the book.
