Dowson's first collection of poetry, containing his most famous lines: "They are not long, the days of wine and roses" from "Vitae Summa Brevis," and "I have been faithful to thee, Cynara! In my fashion" from "Non Sum Qualis eram Bonae Sub Regno Cynarae," this latter poem the title source for both Margaret Mitchell's Gone with the Wind and Cole Porter's "Always True to you in my Fashion". Full red morocco, top edge gilt,others uncut, bound by Studio Ars Libri, Amsterdam. The original imitation parchment covers and spine, with gilt design on the front cover by Aubrey Beardsley, are bound in. Fine condition. Bookplate of Barry Humphries.

San Francisco: The Greenwood Press, 2003. First edition. Letbetter, Dennis;. Inspired by Vico's Principi di una scienza nuova, Stauffacher and Letbetter produced this pair of portfolios: Stauffacher's "Vico Wooden Letters," a suite of ten prints, issued in an edition of twenty, was made using an assortment of sixty-six 19th-century wooden letters, given to the press by The Williams Printing Company in 1966, that had been used to print public posters. Printed in black, red, blue, and yellow, on French Rives BFK mouldmade paper at The Greenwood Press, also utilizing Kis & Méridien types, including 7-point type handset by Stauffacher according to the original measure and leading of the 1725 edition. Small chips from the jacket extremities, not affecting the lettering, a fine copy, in near-fine jacket. An unnumbered copy from the British issue of 450. 710 copies were printed in all, of which 260 were used for the Harcourt, Brace edition. Kirkpatrick B5; Woolmer 86.

Paris: Carteret, 1913. First edition. Leloir, Maurice. One of 80 copies on japon with the illustrations in two states (tirage de tête, the total edition was 300 copies). Handsome contemporary olive-green straight-grain morocco (faded to brown on the spine), elaborately gilt with geometric and floral borders on the covers, spine with five raised bands, gilt edges, dentelles, by Chambolle-Duru. Spine edges slightly rubbed, otherwise fine. Etched and engraved by Lèon Boisson. With the bookplate of Count Tolstoy, and the 1924 ownership stamp from the Odessa Public Library. Leloir's attention to historical accuracy in the costumes in his finely detailed engravings led Douglas Fairbanks to hire him as artistic director for The Iron Mask in 1929.

Contains important articles on Duchamp by André Breton, Man Ray, Robert Desnos, Nicolas Calas, Mina Loy and others. the covers were designed by Duchamp and the illustrations include a moveable die-cut triptych by Frederick Kiesler of Duchamp in his studio.

Variant issue with a different form of the publisher's name from the copy described by Forbes, and with a three-line precis of the author's accomplishments, adding "Senior Minister of the Scots Church". The title-page verso with the printer's imprint only. Inscribed "To W. Jardine Esq with the Author's best respects". William Jardine was a surgeon, trader, and drug trafficker who co-founded the Hong Kong based conglomerate which still bears his name. Forbes 905 (variant).
