Description:
London: Fulgur Limited, 2008. FIRST LIMITED EDITION. 741 hand-numbered copies. Premium cloth and custom end papers; A FINE COPY IN FINE DUST JACKET. One of the major lost works, this unpublished sketchbook of 20 vigorous, yet haunting, studies was created during a bleak period in Spare's life. Designed as a companion volume with UGLY ECSTASY (Fulgur, 1996), these delicately tinted original drawings have been reproduced in full color. The work has been augmented by an introductory essay by Robert Ansell in which the metaphysical and magical themes are explored, and Spare's methodologies for creating states of magical aesthesis for his audience are examined and discussed. Large quarto, printed in full color in a premium binding with dust jacket. Limited issue of 741 numbered copies.

Description:
Hercules: Three Hands Press, 2018. Limited to 750 copies only. A FINE PREMIUM CLOTH COPY IN FINE DUST JACKET. Artwork by Benjamin Vierling. The principal concern of this volume is the intersection of magic and poison, which finds its origins in remote antiquity, and now reaching into the occult traditions of present day. Beyond their functions as agents of bodily harm, poisons have also served as gateways of religious ecstasy, occult knowledge, and sensorial aberration, as well as the basis of manifold cures of the body and mind. This magical tradition can be found in the rites of ancient Sumer and Egypt, through European Necromancy, Alchemy, and modern-day folk magic. This revised edition is fully corrected with some notable expansions: new typographic design for the entire book; some expansion of the text in certain chapters, plus one entirely new chapter; new and additional images; a new title page illustration by artist Benjamin A. Vierling, as well as two new ornaments by the same artist. Four… Read more

Description:
Stockholm: Edda Publishing, 2015. Limited to 360 copies, now out of print. A Fine Premium Cloth Volume in Dust Jacket. Limited edition of 360 standard copies only. Ernst Junger's dream-like story "Visit to Godenholm" [1952] takes the reader on a strange journey to an island off an unknown Scandinavian coastline. Visitors to Godenholm are received by the powerful philosopher-magician Schwarzenberg, and suddenly all concepts of time and space are irrelevant. The visitors have no choice but to face their inner processes and individual expectations in a remarkably potent psychic free zone. The author, Ernst Junger (1895-1998), is one of German literature's strangest. This work has been translated from the German by Annabel Moynihan, and a new introduction by Junger scholar, Elliot Neaman, has been added. The beautiful… Read more
