No dust jacket. A rare book about an unconventional means of travel some 80+ years ago, aboard cargo ships. Nineteen illustrations. Pale green fabric with blue decoration on the front and blue text on the spine. The spine is significantly darkened and there is a scattering of small spots on the front and rear covers. Wear to the fabric is mild and primarily at the upper corners and lower spine. The pages are clean, tight and unmarked other than a gift inscription on the front free endpaper, dated 1939.

This is the first of six novels in the Wedding Planner Cozy Mystery series. It is bad enough that Carnegie Kincaid has to plan a wedding between two families who are at legal war with each other, but then a murder and a kidnapping plunge Carnegie into a morass of extortion and violence. Apparently all done with a sense of humor and a touch of romance.

This version of The Velveteen Rabbit says it is "adapted for younger readers". The front cover has a heavy crease running across from top to bottom. The rest of the pages and the back cover have nothing worse than a little corner curling. A plush rabbit answers the question: What does it take to be "real"?

Here is a rare book from the war years. A thick, thumb tabbed volume with many recipes, adjusted for wartime rationing. Published according to war restrictions and dedicated to Gen.
