Description:
Garden City: Doubleday, Page & Company, 1914. One of the most intriguing works by Norris. Noted for his muckraking novels, this is actually a horror story with a werewolf theme. Written in 1895 during a very prolific time for the author, it was presumed lost in the San Francisco earthquake and only published posthumously. This is a Very Good (Plus) to Near Fine copy of the First Edition; lacking the dustjacket. Brick red ribbed cloth binding, ruled on the front cover; gilt titling on the sp[ine and front cover. Very mild wear at the margins, top a bit dusty, gilt on spine a tad faded. Page 332, a crease; and newsprint bookmark has left offset to pages 64-65. A solid copy of this literary outlier. In an archival plastic protector.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Description:
London: C. Bathurst, 1741. Swift's famous poem was written in 1731. First published in 1739, when it went to three editions, all of which were edited (censored) to avoid offense (certainly a fool's errand when it comes to Swift) This is a Very Good copy of a Later Printing from two years later (and four years prior to Swift's actual death). Held by all major academic libraries in the UK, but scarce in trade. Disbound from a collection; clean text; 22 pages. The title page shows darkening around the margins; within, the textblock is quite bright and clear. The last page has a split at the top, rendering it tender. While Jonathan Swift has never been out of print, works printed during his lifetime are hard to come by. . Later Printing. Soft Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
