He suffered a nervous breakdown after delivering it to his publisher, of which his wife, Jessie Conrad, wrote: "he lives mixed up in the scenes and holds converse with the characters." One of only 2,250 copies. Red cloth with spine lettering and design stamped in gold; 32-page publisher's catalog dated September 1911 at rear. (Copies are variously noted with catalogs dated August or September). Spine slightly faded, minor nicks to spine ends, otherwise very good.
