The volume is is rubbed, bumnped on the corners, and worn on the spine ends with fraying on the crown. The spine is darkened and the lettering is considerably dulled. There is an erasure on the front endpaper, the rear hinge is starting, and the text leaves are lightly toned.

Living Hand, 1974. First Edition. Softcover. Very Good. Signed. SIGNED, without inscription, by Paul Auster on the title page. This copy has the hand pencil correction, apparently by Paul Auster, of "into" (for "to") on the eleventh page of the text. The volume is sunned on the spine, lightly toned on the perimeters, and both the cover and pages have a mild bump on the bottom corner. Still very good with tight binding.

From the Larry McMurtry collection and SIGNED, in pencil, "Larry & Jo McMurtry, 1964" by Larry McMurtry on the front endpaper. The volume is edge-worn with bumped spine ends and corners, the leaves are lightly age toned, and the top and fore-edges have mild foxing. The unclipped dust jact, sleeve protected, has chips (to a depth of 3/16"), wrinkles, and a couple of short closed tears. The rear panel hos some foxing and the spine is mildly sun toned.

The volume is lightly bumped on the spine ends and bottom front corner, and there is a touch of sunning along the top edge; the contents are a tad shaken. There are two dust jackets accompanying the book. The better of the two is unclipped, sleeved in mylar, edge worn and has some small spine and rear joint abrasions.

The text leaves are lightly toned, have some soiling, pencil markings, turned corners, and the title page has been repaired at the hinge. Engraved plates are of Napoleon Bonaparte, Henry Broughman, DeWitt Clinton, King George IV of England, his wife Caroline, Rev.
