Modest browning and foxing, a bit of damp staining at the end generally contained to the outer margin and gutter. Old note to the endpaper in Dutch referring to a biography of Joris by David Georgen. Set in gothic type with some notes in a roman typeface. Interesting use of Granjon's Civilite typeface for a few words in the captions for a diagram on 4C6. Contemporary vellum worn and darkened but intact, with engraved title and 9 plates but lacking the author portrait frontis. Modest browning, heavier in spots, light dampstain in bottom corner of first 35 or so pages and the plates in that section, just about very good overall and with the first depictions of tobacco harvest in the New World.
