Madras, Benares and London: The Theosophist Office and the Theosophical Publishing Society, 1909. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. FIRST PRINTING of First Edition. 246mm tall x 152mm, fully bound in ribbed navy cloth, white paper title patch on spine, brown marbled EPs. The first printing of the book was issued in a hardcover binding and in wrapper for custom binding. This was most likely the wrappers issue that was subsequently bound since there is no TEG. All of the original hardcover versions of the first printing that I have examined had TEG while all of the wrapper versions of the first printing did not have TEG. The book has 719 pages, 63 b/w illustrations, 11 photogravures (1 folding of Mt. Everest -- not a very high quality image), folding map. The photo of Everest is captioned, "Mount Gaurishankara, The Highest Peak In The World."
