Privately published by the author, Dymock, 1911. Book. Good. Soft cover. 1st Edition. First Edition (first printing). 8vo. 29pp sewn into lettered card wrappers. The wrappers splitting and tender at the natural fold, and a little rubbed and nicked at the yapped edges. Several preliminary and concluding leaves lightly spotted and with a contemporary date (1912) neatly inked to the head of the title leaf. A good, bright if slightly handled copy of the author's early one-act verse play, the second that he self-published [in an edition of circa 500 copies]. With a printed dedication "To Arthur Ransome. My Friend". The verse-play was subsequently included in the first volume of Edward Marsh's 'Georgian Poetry' anthology series (1912); and Abercrombie eventually expanded the play by a further five acts, the full six-act version being published in 1930.
