Description:
Toronto Canada: Evangelical Publishers, 1942. VG+/1st ed. This is a short biography of George Washington Carver, the man that almost single handedly save Southern cotton farmers by developing alternative crops for cotton after the boll weevill and soil erosion took out that crop. Chief amongst these was peanuts. He developed and promoted about a 100 products made from peanuts. He also was the first to head the Agricultural Department at Tuskegee Institute; he taught there for 47 years. He was a remarkable man, certainly one of the finest educators and agricultural scientist the South can lay claim to. Books is clean, securelystapled into orange construction paper wraps. 32 pages, with several great b&w photos of Dr. Carver. Interior is clean and white on higher grade paper. No tears or nicks. Exterior has some light soiling, but is in excellent shape to be 72 years old. Comes to you in an acid free document bag for storage. I can get this in the mail to you tomorrow. BASD.
