Original publisher's glassine wrappers over a printed, illustrated cover in gate-fold over a Fine condition cover, still brightly, colorfully vibrant. Double-column text, printed on extra soft paper, and plates on high-gloss paper. Published in Genève, Cailler Editeur, 1951. Tall quarto in format, with [10], 11-75 [4] pp., then several score beautiful plates in black-and-white and duotone and a lovely full-color likeness of the artist at frontis and others, scattered. This is the first volume in the series Les Grandes Monographies, the second being devoted to Dunoyer de Segonzac. Volume contains scholarly apparatus in the form of, e.g., notes, index, and bibliography. Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
