Still has the very rare jacket which is in good only condition. Has general wear and chipping as shown . Features one of Caldecotts images and lists of his book. Pictorial boards are in vg condition. Jacket has protected them well. Contents are vg with scattered foxing here and there and there is a neat previous owner inscription fep. The volume is profusely illustrated throughout with colour plates and black and white drawings. No page tears and tightly bound. Lovely example of Caldecotts work and in nice condition.

Heinemann, 1958. Soft Cover. Fair. An "Uncorrected Proof Copy "The Rainbow and the Rose", by Nevil Shute. Published by Heinemann and printed by The Windmill Press, Kingswood Surrey. It is a paperback proof with a thick a paper cover that is faded with some curling of the corners. The 306 pages are all still tightly bound but the front cover is becoming detached from the internal binding. The edges of the pages are showing signs of foxing and, when closed, have a mottled effect because of it. The pages themselves are in good condition for their age, with little ageing. There is a sonnet by Rupert Brooke, "The Treasure" before page 1.
