"As our elder men and women whose devotion to an ideal has made possible what has been done, approach their end, there is comfort in knowing that of those to whom control will pass there are a considerable number who have grown up under an environment in which land is looked upon as a common heritage, to be legitimately held only for use not investment." Houses in Nashville range in price from $650 to $20,000. Apparently unrecorded on OCLC (in his preface, the author mentions an earlier October, 1880, issue). Original printed tan wrappers (some edgewear); penciled owner's name and a few calculations on front wrapper, signed in the year of publication. Very good and quite scarce.

First edition (?). 12mo. 20 pp. (11 pages of text and 9 pages of press notices, reviews of Schwezoff writings and his performances as dancer and/or choreographer for the Original Ballet Russe and other companies). The text represents, in part, Schwezoff's "personal ideas of what is good in the art of the dance." Schwezoff (1904-1982) studied in Leningrad before leaving the Soviet Union in 1930, spending the ensuing decade in Europe performing with a number of companies; he migrated to the United States in 1940, became a citizen in 1945, and taught in New York or Washington until his death. His papers are held by the New York Public Library. OCLC locates two copies (New York Public, Brown). Very good. Original glossy wrappers, illustrated with a portrait of Schwezoff, stapled. (9728).

The map includes present day Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Labrador, and part of Newfoundland. Place names and cartouche are in French; all lakes, rivers, and other streams are clearly marked. OCLC locates two copies (Univ. du Quebec-Trois-Rivieres, Univ. Laval Bibliothèque). Promotional and tourist guide. 8vo. 16 pp. Illustrated from photographs of interior scenes in the hotel and of its grounds and the surrounding countryside, maps. Portions printed in English, German, and French. Caption title: "The Queen's Hotel, Kandy." H.W. Cave was a prominent British entrepreneur, publisher, and author of works about Ceylon. Apparently not recorded on OCLC. Very good. Original color illustrated wrappers (separating at spine), stapled. (7237).
