Large Softcover Book of 311 pages is in Good condition with a tight binding and mostly clean pages with some soiling to the top page ends visible when looking down on the top of the book page ends. Outside covers show some creases and wear to the outside corners and edges. Padre Pio died September 23, 1968, his funeral attended by over 100,000 people. During the fifty-eight years he was a priest, his monastery at San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy, became a mecca for pilgrims from all over the world. Padre Pio joined the Capuchin Order in 1903 and was ordained in 1910. On September 20, 1918 he received the sacred wounds of Christ, or the stigmata, which he bore the rest of his life.

Book appears to be unread and unused! Inside the back cover in the bottom left hand corner is a small vintage book sticker (ECONOMY BOOK and STATIONERY STORE INC Syracuse, New York). Outside cloth covers are very nice. Book has obviously been sitting on a shelf or a box for the last 60 years! Dust Jacket is in Very Good condition with really the only wear on the outside spine and outside corners. Outside spine shows some edge chipping to include small missing pieces at the top and bottom of the outside spine. Dust Jacket is price clipped and is now covered by a new clear mylar cover. Only copyright date showing is 1957.

The only school markings is a stamp for "Dist. 98 Todd County inside the front and back cover and on the first end page. There are a couple pieces of clear tape along the inside spine of the first two pages- and I noticed some clear tape on one internal page. Great Illustration! The outside cloth covers show some soiling and wear primarily to the outside corners. Wonderful book to use with your children. This is NOT the Catholic School Edition.

Highly Collectible Book in Very Good condition with a tight binding and mostly clean crisp pages. Book does not appears to have had much use. There is a name written inside the front cover, which is probably a Teacher with a small square drawing and also pen marks along the inside spine. No other writing or marks in the book! The Reader portion of 128 pages is a First Printing (number line) with the Teacher's Guidebook being 32 pages. This is part of the Dick and Jane series from Scott Foresman. (Dick and Jane do not actually appear in this title, but many of their friends do!) This title is part of the Social Studies series. Outside cloth covers are nice with minor wear to the outside corners and edges. Nice book with great illustrations!
