Bennett, Nick Hatin, Don Morgan, J.A. Canvas, and others whose signature I cannot read. Wide variety of styles and execution quality. A full listing of artists is printed on the inside back cover. Also an essay of several pages, Where Do You Go When You Die? by M. S. Lewis; a gut-wrenching tale about the childhood suicide of her older brother.

After the first part of the article appeared in the school paper, the Phoenix, the administration stopped publcitaion of the second part. This was sold to the SF Examiner, which killed it. To judge from the peculiar English in which this work is written, we believe it to be an un-credited reprint of a work published at Paris in 1892 by Isidore Liseux, which itself is a translation of a book from the same publisher called Les Cadenas et ceintures de chasteté. Notice historique, suivie du Plaidoyer de Freydier, avocat à Nimes. Avec figures. (Paris: Liseux, 1883. 8vo. pp. xl+65). The author of the original French text was probably Alcide Bonneau, and the English translation by Liseux himself.

Paris, France [?New York]: [Samuel Roth], n.d.. Original cloth. Binding worn and stained, but internally sound.. 8vo. pp. 188+[ii]. An erotic novel. Imperfect; wanting eight illustrations. The title page credits these to Raymond Milne. Pages 169-188 contain a short story entitled A French Lesson. A superb example of original American erotica from the 1930s. The title page has the layout and typography of a classic 'reader'; previously seen was a copy of this title issued in two parts. This title is listed as one of works for which Samuel Roth was prosecuted (see Jay A. Gertzman, Bookleggers and Smuthounds, page 271).
