Later printing of 1859 copyright by W.A. Townsend in dark green cloth over beveled boards. Corners and top and bottom of spine show a little wear. Front hinge a little loose but secure. Rear hinge tight. Page 15-16 loose. Gilt lettering on front cover and spine. Top edge gilt. Attractive 19th century binding. See photo. Contains two engraved plates.

Dark blue cloth, bright gilt lettering, slight wear top bottom spine and corners. Hinges broken but repaired and holding. Spine broken at page 111 but holding. Good reading copy with very nice maritime engravings by Clarkson Stanfield. Still a nice looking book.
