The book was actually published in Eau Claire Wisconsin by Fremad Publishing. Softcover, tightly bound. The light gray cover shows some darkening. Bookplate on the inside of the front cover of collector Herman Gimmestad. Most of these poems were written before he emigrated, and the last section ' I Fremmed Land' written in America. The author was unhappy with his emigration and returned to Norway in 1920.

The map measures 36" x 27.5", printed in blue ink, and surrounded by local advertising and a long list of Burt county small tracts. It appears to be of fairly recent manufacture, as addresses include zip codes and telephone numbers have the 402 area code. The map s fine, with no tears or chips; the binder is near fine, with just a trace of edgewear. A clean, tight, unmarked copy. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall

There is a bookplate on the inside of the front cover stating this book is from the library of Rasmus B. Anderson, presented to the State Historical Society of Wisconsin. Rasmus Anderson was the founder of the Department of Scandinavian Studies at the University of Wisconsin, the oldest such program in the United States. Text is entirely in English.
