Fine copy with original artwork. The 23rd (by my count) filmed version of the Dickens classic, this one by no means as definitive as claimed by one of the actors in the supplementary feature. Actually it takes considerable liberties and departs unnecessarily from the novel in ways that do not help, and of course Polanski being Polanski could not film in England. However Ben Kingsley as Fagin manages to convey more humanity than is found in some other filmed portrayals.
