Laid into this copy is an inscribed glossy photograph of Asher & Jimmie. In the original pictorial covers, 10.25" x 7.25" Asher and his son were natives of the Kentucky mountains when "Mother" encouraged them to start their radio career, offering listeners a "clean, entertaining and uplifting" program. Many of the songs, written by guitarist Asher, are of a regional nature, along with mountain folk songs and hymns.

1908. Very Good. Black-and-white image, 5" x 8", on a gray photo-mount. Shown are 22 boys and girls in mostly homemade clothes. Off to the side is a large man wearing a double-breasted suit. Two of the boys hold small slates on which is written: "Pleasant Valley, Dist. no 30. J.C. Barney, teacher." Identified on the verso in ink as "Oakwood, Okla. 1908." Written in pencil: "J.C.B." and "Ward Barney." Oakwood is a town in Dewey County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 65 at the 2010 census.

1919. Original photograph. Very Good. Contains head-and-shoulders portraits of eight young women in white nursing caps and uniforms, arranged within a shield labeled "Great Falls Columbus Hospital, 1919" with a white cross at the bottom. Image size is 10" x 8". Mounted in the original mat, with the names of the eight women written boldly in pencil on the verso. Surnames are: Donat, Youngren, Hutcheson, Oneal, Lichter, Allen, Goodyear, and Fromhart. Overall size is 13.5" x 11.25" Founded in 1892 by five Sisters of Providence nuns, the hospital was named Columbus after the explorer. Those five nuns nursed more than 99 patients the first year, made 43 home visits, served 170 meals, and wrote 475 prescriptions, according to an article in the Great Falls Tribune. A nurses home was added to the hospital in 1903. By the time the young women in this 1919 photograph graduated, the Wesley Van Orsdel Nurses Home had been built across the street.

Two vertical folds for mailing. 9" x 11.75". Laid in is a printed "Strong Endorsement" by Canadian journalist Percy F. Godenrath. [This vintage gold & silver mine prospectus is unrecorded by World Cat.] Oroville, situated four miles south of the Canadian border in the Okanogan Highlands in north-central Washington, has a population near 2,000. The town was established as Oro in 1892, ten years before the date of this prospectus. Of the 1,694 mining claims that had been filed, only 37 remain active, according to information published by the "The Diggings.
