Later binding (probably 20th century) of full olive green cloth with gilt-lettered leather spine label. VG condition. Some foxing to the frontis and title page. Intermittent foxing and browning throughout. Binding is sound and tight. A sturdy, attractive volume.

Foreword by Hillary Clinton, who held the same Senate seat before Gillibrand. 194 pp., + 16 pp., of b&w and color photos. Hardcover in dust jacket with "Signed Copy" sticker. Some edge wear, but VG+ overall.

Original studio portrait by the noted Japanese art and commercial photographer, an important figure in the transition from pictorialism to modern photography in Japan. Full-length B&W portrait of a young woman in kimono with obi. Subject and date unknown, but evidently from the post-war era (circa 1940s to 1960s.) In the original folder from Ogawa Gesshu's studio. His name is stamped in silver lettering on the front cover and embossed on the inner mount. Lower left margin of photo with embossed stamp: G. Ogawa / Osaka. Folder measures 9 by 11 inches. Stiff tan covers with protective inner tissue guard. Photograph is 6 by 8.5 inches, including white borders. (Image size: 5 by 7 inches.) Upper edge of photo tipped to the mount. Minor wear to the folder and slight creasing of the tissue guard. Photo is Fine. A scarce example of a portrait from Ogawa Gesshu's studio.

Small marks to bottom page edge, light spotting to top edge, but VG/VG otherwise. Some rubbing to the unclipped DJ but no tears or other flaws.

Old ink stamp (illegible) and embossed stamp on the title of the Rochester [NY] Theological Seminary. Lacking the fold-out plate but supplied in facsimile on 19th century paper. (See image.) A couple of old marginal glosses, but text otherwise complete and unmarked. A sound copy of a scarce work.

Near Fine in dust jacket with clear archival cover. Jacket priced at $13.95, but lower flap clipped by the publisher. (Norton had a practice of printing more than one price when the retail price was still undetermined.) Sound, tight binding. Clean internally. A nice copy overall, as shown.
