The mid 20th century book plate of Holcomb Genung is affixed to the front free end leaf of the first volume. Paper spine labels with some chips, but remaining good. Joints and hinges of Vol. I are cracked and top cover is loosened though still attached. There is also a tear in the front free end page where book plate has been pulled. Otherwise, volumes show light wear consistent with age, though are generally intact and remaining tight.

Raised spine bands, and gilt stamped title. Covers are rubbed and lightly worn along edges. Leather is darkened over spine. Book plate on front paste down. Edges of leaves are a little darkened and there are a few very small edge tears. Volume remains tight, and is otherwise clean and intact.

Dust jacket shows a couple of slight chips along the upper edge over the top cover, though is otherwise Fine. Jacket is now in a clear protective sleeve.

Falmouth: J. Philip Although there is no date of publication, the Bibliotheca Cornubiensis cites this second edition as being published in 1825. 24 pages, disbound. There are a couple of inked numbers in the blank upper margin of the title page. Unfortunately, the lower outside corner of the last leaf is torn off affecting a little of the last text of "a letter addressed to Capt. Cook by the secretary of the Court of Directors." This is on page 23, and the last page, 24, only loses part of the printer's name. Volume remains tight and generally clean, showing only light smudges and foxing. . Second Edition. Unbound.
