Publisher's marbled paper over boards backed in gilt-lettered black roan.
Binding with edge wear & rubbing (including small losses), hinges started (still secure), two plates partially split at the folds (now reinforced with archival tissue on the verso), some tattering, toned & foxed, otherwise Good or better & still quite useful.
Published annually between 1820 & 1836, this the fourth volume of Peter Force's vast compendium of statistics providing one of the best snapshots of early American government.

Original brochure, single sheet measuring 6 inches by 14 inches folded three times vertically as issued to 6 inches by 3.5 inches, forming 8 pages. With illustrations from photographs & descriptive text. Lightly soiled, otherwise Near Fine. Quite uncommon, OCLC Worldcat locates two copies only under accession number 853459461 (Pikes Peak Library; Southern Methodist University).

Lacking numbers 7 & 15 which were never bound in. Five numbers with illustrated title pages, the other 19 with a frontis steel engraved plate by J. G. Chapman. Text in two columns. Contemporary one quarter diced black morocco & marbled paper, the spine in five compartments separated by raised bands, lettered in gilt in two compartments.
Lacking numbers 7 & 15 which were never bound in. Edges & joints rubbed, foxing throughout (heavy at times generally at early leaves), one leaf with one inch tear just into text (without loss), final signature slightly sprung, a Good or better copy.

Sextodecimo (6" x 4"), 32 pages plus wraps, with illustrations from woodcuts throughout, the covers in color depicting "The Diver" on the front & "One of the Children Who Took Castoria" on the back. Publisher's pictorial paper wraps, sewn, with threaded hanging hole. Five pages with old news clippings pasted in obscuring text but providing recipes, covers lightly soiled, with moderate edge wear, brief rubbing, & short separation at the spine, sporadic foxing & toning, otherwise Good or better. A really interesting promotional pamphlet which even includes a testimonial from circus master P.T. Barnum who recommends Centaur Liniment which he used for his elephants. Includes a double-page map (9 inches by 16 inches) showing the New York Central Water Level Route. Modest soiling & sporadic minor foxing, light edge wear including a tiny loss at the top margin of the back cover, otherwise Very Good. "The New York Central System operates 11,200 mile of railroad in eleven states and Canada in the great commercial and industrial are between the Mississippi Valley and the Atlantic Seaboard, providing the highest type of passenger and freight service."

No place [Geneva, New York ?], 1899 - 1909. Original photo album, black card stock with embossed "Photographs" on the upper cover, oblong small quarto (7" x 10.25"), containing 37 silver gelatin photographs mounted to 30 pages of thick black paper, many with manuscript annotations. The photos generally measure 3.25 inches by 5.5 inches & are usually mounted one to a page recto & verso.
Covers partially split at the spine (now repaired on the verso with archival tissue), modest edge wear, some photos a bit light, one photo with small loss at the lower left corner, three photos removed (by others), otherwise Very Good.
One photo depicts "Waldo Hutchins House." Research indicates Mr. Hutchins lived in Geneva, New York.

New York: Oliver Dodd, Publisher, (1890). First edition. 12mo, 200 pp. Publisher's paper over boards backed in brick cloth lettered in gilt on the spine. Wright III: 2636. Brief wear at spine extremities, corners bumped & rubbed, small gouge along the lower edge of the rear cover, light foxing mostly at endpapers & pastedowns, otherwise Very Good. Set in Memphis, Tennessee, Nicholas Blood chronicles the race for mayor between a black candidate & his white rival. A contemporary review provides clarity of a sort: "The negro question in our South is producing a literature of its own. This bit of realistic fiction deserves no mean number in the list of books devoted to that momentous problem. It is written from the point of view of the white race, as a terrible warning against the dangers of negro domination." Arthur Henry , a journalist & playwright, was an associate & friend of Theodore Dreiser. He served as mentor & assisted in the editing of Dreiser's first novel, Sister Carrie.

Ms. Kraft departed Paris on December 1, 1868 in the company of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas T. Ferris (her sister and brother in law) and traveling companion J.S. Rogers. The group arriived in Egypt on December 11. Worn: Covers with edge wear including nicks, creasing, small losses, & a tear (now repaired on the verso with archival tissue), gilt dull, soiled (internally & externally), scuffs on the verso of the front cover adjacent to the first blank page, staples rusted, still a useful copy. Apparently Belle Braswell's copy (Addye Belle Braswell Moon} with her signature on the first blank page. Additionally includes dozens & dozens of autographs, many with sentiments, from classmates & faculty.
