Description:
London: Faber, 1928. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. (Faber & Gwyer 1928). First UK Edition. Publisher's mid brown boards with black lettering. A lovely bright copy with no fading whatsoever to the boards. There is a tiny nick to the top/middle of the front board. Top edge quite dusty; some foxing spots to the fore-and bottom edges. Overall though the book itself is VG indeed. In the VERY RARE D/W priced 7/6 net to the inside flap (as called for). The D/W has a short closed tear to the top edge (and accompanying crease), some darkening to the spine and a couple of 'notches' of loss to head of spine just affecting the M of Man. The back panel is soiled and partially age darkened. The novelisation of the 1925 German silent film noir "Variety" (also known by the alternative titles "Jealousy" or Vaudeville) directed by Ewald Andre Dupont.
