Slight indentation to the first four leaves from something [a pamphlet?] had been laid in the front, one of the front end papers with a tiny corner crease, glassine tissue guard between the frontis and title page with minor staining. Text itself is super clean and near fine. Overall a very good solid attractive copy.

The case has a touch of rubbing. The facsimile volume, other than the preliminaries is unread, while the commentary is near fine.

Attractive volume with edge wear, small chip at head of rear gutter, small chip to spine label, foxing to front and rear end papers and adjacent leaves, otherwise slight to rare foxing throughout, one leaf with a corner crease, otherwise largely unread. This is the first French edition published by the American Bible Society and was after the Paris edition of 1805.
