"La Petite Toilette" and "La Grand Toilette", depicting a gentleman of the French aristocracy undergoing those two respective stages of preparation by his retinue, being made presentable for a social evening. Each 9" x 7" overall, 5.2" x 3.5" exposed image and margin. Just very modest toning. Modern frames have several small nicks and spots, hence very good, though not far from near fine. Beautifully hand-colored etchings by J.M. Moreau the younger, a prolific artist of the late 1700's. L11n
