Sound and tight binding. Christian Krohg (13 August 1852 – 16 October 1925) was a Norwegian naturalist painter, illustrator, author and journalist. Krohg was inspired by the realism art movement and often chose motifs from everyday life. He was the director and served as the first professor at the Norwegian Academy of Arts from 1909 to 1925. Hardcover Condition: Brown cloth cover with gilt spine spine title. Spine chipped at bottom. Front pastedown cracked at gutter but hinge still strong. Slight spine slant. Boards have toning. Interior pages clean. Ownership inscription on FFEP (appears to be in pencil).

Spine has wear to head and foot. Spine faded. Light water staining from title page to page 226, resulting in some waviness to some pages. Otherwise, text is clean and clear.
